In a small saucepan, combine water, sugar, and dried rosebuds. Bring to a gentle boil and simmer for about 2 minutes, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Remove from heat and let it steep until fully cooled. Strain and store in a sealed glass container in the fridge for up to a week.
Fill a mixing glass with ice. Add gin, Lillet Blanc, rose petal syrup, Benedictine, and orange bitters. Stir for 15–20 seconds until well chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe glass and float a dried rosebud on top for garnish.
A delicate, blushing sip with floral complexity and just enough sweetness to soften the edges. Best enjoyed under candlelight.
